CII And WhatsApp Join Hands To Train Entrepreneurs And SMEs

WhatsApp this week claimed that it has joined hands with CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) to skill entrepreneurs and SMEs (small and medium enterprises) on employing the messaging service to link with users and developing their businesses. CII and WhatsApp will operate to improve business communication for SMEs via SME Technology Facilitation Centre of CII that was established in November 2016, a media report claimed.

CII and WhatsApp will also design informative material to be spread among entrepreneurs both in digital and physical formats, it claimed. Executive Director at CII, Neerja Bhattia, claimed that the center offers a chance to its tech associates to branch out their market and get to SMEs throughout the nation with their services and product. The centre was established to assist SMEs with tech solutions that can be optimally accepted to improve overall competitiveness.

Speaking of SMEs, PayPal, the digital payments firm, and the FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organizations) this week inked a deal for marketing of outbound shipments amongst SMEs (small and medium enterprises) using the technology goods and expertise of the partners.

As fraction of the deal, earlier PayPal claimed that will operate with FIEO to teach SMEs on how to use worldwide opportunities, assist them get money in a timely and safe way with PayPal goods such as invoicing. In addition to this, it will also inform them of worldwide best practices.

“The MoU will assist FIEO get hands on the artisans, cottage industries, youths, house-wives, clusters, and MSMEs, even in far-flung regions to expand their course towards exports,” Ajay Sahai, the CEO and Director General at FIEO, claimed to the media in an interview.

He claimed that these efforts will also give confidence to startups and entrepreneurs to move to exports without any complexity. The associates will host seminars and programs to work and educate towards easing the procedures for the SMEs.
