Planning to solve the problems all over interactive video streaming, Google has declared “Project Stream” that permits Google Chrome consumers to stream complete video games. “We have been operating on Project Stream, a technological test to resolve some of the trickiest issues of streaming. For this project, we are going to push the limits with one of the most demanding apps for streaming a hit video game,” claimed Product Manager at Google, Catherine Hsiao, to the media in an interview.
The Internet behemoth is operating to publicly experiment on “Project Stream” with a restricted number of members by allowing them play “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey” in its Chrome browser for free. “The thought of streaming such graphically-heavy content that needs near-instantaneous interaction between the graphics on the screen and the game controller poses numerous challenges.
“When streaming movies or TV, users are comfortable with a buffering of few seconds at the beginning, but streaming high-quality games needs latency calculated in milliseconds, with no degradation of graphic,” Hsiao claimed.
On a similar note, earlier during the 2018 Game Developers Conference, Google extended its program of Instant Apps to games. The search behemoth dubs the platform as Google Play Instant. Made only for games, the platform is similar as it was with the Instant Apps. This indicates that consumers can now play particular games prior to downloading it on their smartphones. Some of the games that are obtainable right now to try comprise Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, Clash Royale, Words with Friends 2, and Panda Pop.
These can be tested from the Google Play Games app, Google Play Store, or from anyplace the link is provided. There is a devoted area in Google Play Store dubbed as “Instant Gameplay: Try now, install later” from where you can take pleasure of the games prior to installing on your smartphones.
